I am a second generation, lifelong, born and raised Cutler Bay resident. Cutler Ridge through and through. A product of Dade County Public Schools and the State University System of Florida.
I've served the residents of Cutler Bay for the past 12 years — the last 8 on the Town Council, and 4 on the Education Advisory Committee before that. My wife Amy and I have two beautiful young sons, one who goes to public school here in Town. My parents are finally retired, and still live in Town to this day.
I've got skin in the game across three generations in this Town. This is our home. Always has been. Always will be.
I want to be your Mayor because we still have a lot of work to do. We have accomplished so much together over the past 8 years — but there is more to do. Let's keep our small town, family-friendly atmosphere. Let's keep our Town free from overdevelopment and protect our green spaces. Let's keep moving Cutler Bay forward.

CAMPAIGN PROMISES
WHAT B.J. WILL FIGHT FOR
STOP OVERDEVELOPMENT
B.J. will fight all proposed overdevelopments east of US1. Density belongs on US1 - not on Old Cutler, 87th Avenue, or any residential corridor. He's fought this for 8 years and won't stop as Mayor.
PROTECT GREEN SPACES
B.J. will fight all proposed overdevelopments east of US1. Density belongs on US1 - not on Old Cutler, 87th Avenue, or any residential corridor. He's fought this for 8 years and won't stop as Mayor.
IMPROVE TRAFFIC
Following Franjo Road's success, B.J. will work to tackle Marlin Road, connect 212th Street to Old Cutler at Legacy Park, and improve Cutler Ridge Drive, 87th Avenue, and Gulfstream Road - while improving stormwater drainage at every step.
KEEP TAXES LOW
Following Franjo Road's success, B.J. will work to tackle Marlin Road, connect 212th Street to Old Cutler at Legacy Park, and improve Cutler Ridge Drive, 87th Avenue, and Gulfstream Road - while improving stormwater drainage at every step.
ECONOMIC OPPORTUNITY
B.J. will bring new jobs, restaurants, and retail to Cutler Bay through SouthPlace City Center - a $1.5B redevelopment - so residents don't have to drive to Pinecrest or Homestead for a good meal or shopping.
MAYOR IN YOUR COMMUNITY
Not everyone can make it to Town Hall every 3rd Wednesday of the Month at 6pm. We have jobs, kids, lives. As Mayor, I will bring local government to you. Every month, I will host a Mayor's forum, at different locations all across Town, to give our residents a chance to hear from their Mayor and discuss any Town related topics they'd like.
GET CONNECTED
Sometimes it is hard to attend Town Council meetings to voice your concerns every 3rd Wednesday of the month. We've all got lives - jobs, kids, families. I get it. Part of my campaign for Mayor is being more available to talk to and listen to the concerns of our residents - good and bad - so that we can make people's lives better.
If you are interested, I've got two direct options for you below to schedule time one-on-one with me, at your convenience, to talk about any Town related issues and questions you have.
HAVE A BREW WITH B.J.
B.J. will meet you anywhere in Town for a coffee or a beer and listen to what matters most to you. No agenda. Just a neighbor who wants to hear from you.
TOWN TALK WITH B.J.
Meet with B.J. digitally using Zoom - from your own home, office, a park, wherever you want to talk about whatever you want.
